The Bible – daily reading and a time with God to listen and pray essential. Focus first on the Gospels and the Psalms. If you want to truly guard your heart, then you need to be putting the Word of God into your head. Notice David does not say just read your Bible. He says to delight in it and meditates on it day and night. Give time to reading, thinking about and praying through passages in the Bible that give you direction and light. Have some time in the morning and then again in the evening to sit alone with God, open bible reading and praying for His Spirit to lead you.
